Dan Wolfe:HD can be super raw too, it’s all how you choose to use it. Skaters and skate videographers should spend less time bitching about HD and spend more time learning about frame rates, shutter speeds and progressive vs interlaced. Part of the love for VX1000’s, I think, is that they’re basically idiot-proof. The VX1000 only shoots one resolution and frame rate so all you have to do is turn it on and set the exposure and you’re pretty much good to go. With HD you have many more options and I’d bet that most skate filmers haven’t taken the time to learn the ins & outs of all of the options. Open the manual asshole, don’t be such a ‘dude’, reading is good for you…
